I got most cooking & cleaning done today. I am just so nervous about everything! Whether there will be enough food, whether people will mingle, things getting spilled. I am most nervous about the size. We will have 41 people vs 29 last year. I probably wont be able to sleep tonight. Haha, maybe if I stress so much I shouldn't throw parties.

    Don't stress.

If things get spilled you will clean them up
If you run out of food or drinks you can always send some one to get more.
If you have too much food or drinks you can send it home with your guests, bring it to work, or have leftovers for a couple of nights.
If less people come then the party is cozy and intimate
If more people come then the party is exciting and engergetic

Every problem that happens has a solution.

A couple of years ago... a candle tipped over and started my friends house on fire. She put out the fire. Blew out the rest of the candles, and refilled everyone's drink. (What a pro). She coninued to have a good time and so did everyone else.

But get some sleep. Otherwise small things are going to feel like big things tomorrow.

And don't forget to have some fun.

And remember things don't have to be perfect for people to have a good time.

I whole heartedly agree with this. I didn't have everything even finished being set up (as those who said they would come early to help didn't arrive, and my husband forgot to do the cleaning things I asked so I had to do them last minute), more people showed up for the second one than I could have imagined less people showed up for the first one I had than I thought. I ran out of different things and had to much of others, but all in all everyone had fun other than the ones who don't do well with crowds (for the second party). Don't worry about things go with the flow and it will be good. Heck I was even on the floor crawling under tables to get downstairs tonight so I could get more food containers and people laughing and cheering me on. Relax let your hair down (or put it up if the costume calls for it) enjoy yourself and have a great time ultimately you do it somewhat for your guests but remember the most important person there who needs to have fun is YOU Good luck!

There is little in life more glorious than friends gathering together for some revelry. They aren't there to judge how good a job you did; they are there to have some good times together with you. Go have fun with them. It will be wonderful, I promise.
