Well, had our party on the 24th and it turned out pretty well. I would go into a detailed explanation of the night and what I used and didn't use and what worked and didn't work, but the forum took a crap on me when I tried to load it and I don't feel like doing it again right now. Anyway:

    Guests:
We had some great guests. The key is having party "veterans" that now how things go and put new guests at ease. Everyone got into our activities, which brings me to...

    Games:
We had a lot of games that kept the night moving along.
CSI - everybody had 2 minutes at the crime scene for notes to create a story
    Costume Contest - self-explanatory
Tempt Your Fate - 20 balloons, 10 good fates, 10 bad fates, totally voluntary
Death By Wink - killer must wink to kill, victims must act out crazy deaths
Pumpkin Carving - turned into Pumpkin Smashing due to lack on interest

    Food:
Kept it simple and economical. 2 pizzas, bowl of black punch, chips and candy.

    Decor:
Where I'm really proud. Our crime scene was great (with help from this forum)! Black plastic walls and random stuff from around the house as evidence, weapons, etc. Also, walmart blood looked great! 2 custom-made (by me) skull tiki torches sat on each side of our front door. Our front porch area had the prize table and our "vendor" skeleton holding prizes on one side and a 10' web with lifesize corpse, smoke machine, blacklight and "tempt your fate" balloons on the other. We used a red lightbulb in our living room for ambience on the cheap. My 46" LCD tv featured black cloth draped over and "Big Scream TV 1" playing. Our kitchen had our food table and our rising ghost. We kept regular light in there for our pumpkin carving (that never took place). Our utility room (connected to the kitchen) was walled in black plastic and features a tv with "Big Scream TV 3 (crystal ball)" playing. Our home office/play area featured blue lighting and our floating witch and a flying reaper. You had to walk in here to get to the bathroom, so it served up a few scares.

So that's about all! I am more than willing to give more details on the games or anything really. Just ask. Our dares worked out wonderfully and nobody was too timid or offended to do them. At the same time, they weren't "cheap".

Check out my darling daughter trying to pick up a big pumpkin! She's so cute!
