Sorry to cram all this together but our hardware store (yes, hardware store) had pie pumpkins on sale for a very low price. I got some, thinking I could use them as decorations (not carved) and then make pies.

Does anyone have a good recipe? I'd like to make them now and freeze them for Thanksgiving, perhaps serving one for Halloween, too. Also, if I use them outside, how cold can it get before I have to worry about using them for Halloween decorations first? Will one night of being outside hurt them?
