My sister and I are having a halloween party at her house this year.
We olny have one night to set up decorations for the party.

I already have an idea to make the entry into a dungeon. I am using white paper to cover the walls and then I am going to sponge on black, gray and white paint to make the walls look like bricks. then I am going to hang a black light and put some spiderwebs up.

I am in need of some more cool, inexspensive, quick halloween decoration ideas for a kitchen, Living room and small bathroom.

    Thanks,

There are threads concerning pretty much everything you're talking about on this section (party ideas).

Either look through the first couple of pages, or do a search (upper right button) to locate stuff.

Quick search for party prep tips:

I did a spider set-up in my bathroom. Everyone thought it was extremely creepy. I also changed all the white lights in the bathroom to a single red one, so the lighting was justtttt right .

You can get a bunch of clear glass bottles and fill them with tonic water for the kitchen. Set them under black lights and they'll light up neon blue.

For the living room, you could cover your furniture with white sheets, cobwebs, etc. and make it look run-down.

A very simple but effective method is to change your lightbulbs in the house to either red or green bulbs, for that eerie look!

If time is a concern, I'd go for scene setters or plastic tablecloth roles rather than trying to paint your own on paper - that seems really ambitious for 1 night of set up.

For the bathroom we have in different years....

...had a blucky taking a shower....

....had two bluckys making out in the shower with a looped conversation playing between the two....shhhhh, I hear someone, errrmmmm it's TAKEN in here...., yes darling....mmmmmm, oh yes....doesn't anyone knock anymore????

...had a massacre...body parts, beating heart, blood everywhere...HELP ME written across tiles...

......masked breathing on a loop with a shape mask stuck on a hanging blucky, unidentifiable behind frosted showercurtain.

most fun event of the evening is watching video of guests opening shower curtain with everyone else......pre screening advised, advance notice of poss. recording as well.

Make lots of black construction paper bats and hang from ceiling with fishing line. Add lots of spider webs EVERYWHERE

I can't imagine trying to do this all in one night and making your own backgrounds. I agree---buy a spooky scene. Walgreens had some.

Use white sheets draped over furniture for the haunted feel. Pick them up cheap at thrift stores.

We made numerous hanging ghouls out of a wire coat hanger, a black robe or shirt or child's costume from GW and a mask (bought cheap. We used a white balloon under the mask and painted in eyes. Some of them look better than the one I bought ready made.
