Thread: my party's tomorrow....

My plan is to make everything that I can possibly cook tonight so I can spend tomorrow concentrating on me. I'm tired of never ever being able to get time to do my costume. I haven't even made my Right Hand of Doom yet, and I have to do it by tomorrow evening.

So far I've made....... pumpkin bread with and without nuts, jello worms are in the refrigerator cooling, the jackolantern cake is cooked (cooling and waiting to be iced) The water is boiling for jello jigglers, the trophies, put the fates in the balloons,.

I still need to cut all the veggies, make the choclate chip cookies, make the thumbprint cookies, make the meringue bones (gonna give it another try this year since it sucked last year and they broke, make the rice krispy treats, make the jigglers, make the lucy's sweet chex mix, blow up the balloons, finish making the party favors (treat crackers), make the prize baskets, make my Right hand of doom and horns. Plus probably a billion other things I forgot. Oh and finish decorating outside.

I had to take a break tho (I have been standing for a while now) and talk to people who have a great understanding of putting this much effort into a halloween party.

AHHHHH. This scares me. I also never get a chance to finish my costume because I'm running around like a headless chicken doing this stuff.

I'm just buying pre-cut veggies and anything else I can think of as a short cut that I normally wouldn't because I don't want to spend the next week running 90 miles an hour.

Thanks so much that's what I needed a batch of happy thoughts . I am so glad that I decided to have his party tomorrow instead of Halloween night. I take the little ones trick or treating every year no matter what...... (I was late to my own wedding because of TOT :P ) I've got the jigglers and the first batch of cookies and rice crispy treats done. I've got the next batch in the oven So far all is looking well.

My party is tomorrow as well! We do ours early because we have young kids who trick or treat & my youngest son's b-day is the day before Halloween. Today is actually our wedding anniversary and we usually spend it getting ready to our shindig. We've spent most of the day getting ready & buying final supplies. Tomorrow will be crazy as well finishing the decorating & food. We have a few good friends helping us with the menu so I only have to make three dishes & two kinds of punch. Good luck on your party & take plenty of pics! Can't wait to see 'em. The party is great but preparing for it is a lot of fun too (stressful but fun)!

thanks so much. So far I have almost everything premade (I didn't get around to making thumbprint cookies and I haven't iced the pumpkin cake, and I haven't made the red velvet eyeballs all three things might get marked off the make list but there's tons of other stuff. I'm going to try to come up with some type of chicken crockpot meal thing to throw togeather too so I have an additional meat (dinner) type of item other than just hot dogs. I'm working on crackers now (it's 3:00 am ) and then I'm going to sleep til about 11 or 12 then get up and finish my stuff Fingers crossed I get it done.

Have a great time! I'm starting my baking and decorating today, and my party's not 'till next week! The plan is to have most everything done ahead, but I know I'll still be running around at the last minute too.
