I wish I had been smart enough to take pictures of the actual invites as they turned out very cool, but I found the text to last year's invite. Hope it inspires---feel free to steal what you'd like! That's what this forum is all about after all.

2008: Twisted Fairy Tales. The invites were printed and mounted on black card stock and then rolled scroll style and tied with gold leaf paper on the outside. There was a small business card size card tied to the outside that had our address and contact info.
Once upon a time....
In the land of fairy tales and dreams,
Things were not always just what they seemed.
A sinister evil crept into the woods,
It twisted and poisoned all that was good.
Where Snow Fright, Ghouldilocks, & characters Grimmer,
Find Hansel & Gretel in a pot left to simmer.
No longer a place of enchantment & laughter,
For here they will live unhappily ever after.
Follow the instructions that you have received
To join us in celebrating All Hallows Eve.
For your safety please wear your finest disguises,
And indulge in the feast, and potions and prizes.

The party was a huge success. I really feel that the invites set the whole tone of how the party will go. All my guests got into the theme BIG TIME---they really suprised me I will try to add some pics to my album to share

Thank you! I thought of a similar idea for my invitation but there's no way I could put together rhyme as good as yours.
