    Apologies if there's another thread with this...but I'm curious what everyone spends every year on Halloween (props, decorating, parties, etc.).

    I voted more than 1000.00 but that's only because I've been buying and planning since Feb. I started with nothing! When spread out over the months it doesn't hurt as bad. Next yr won't be so costly. I'll just buy a little to add to the collection.

    I have easily spent over $1000.00 and still going, but like dippedstix was saying, "It doesn't hurt as much when you spread it over several months."
    If at first you don't suceed.... drink another beer!

    I've jumped from 15-200 bucks depending on the year. A lot of my stuff is home made, and less expensive.

    Between £100 - £200. We try not to buy decorations as we have a large collection built up now (though we usually still buy some!) Most of the money is spent on food and drink!

    Do share your secrets, those of you who spend <$300. I spend that much on food and drinks alone! Plus all the consumables like napkins; and the things I buy every party like serving dishes, decorations, etc.

    We usually buy napkins etc in bulk so they do a couple of years. As for food again we usually make a few big dishes, like a massive pot of soup. It's cheap enough to make and everyone loves it!

    Around $400 this year but only $100 of that is for food. The guests are asked to provide snacks, and a few of them are willing to do themed foods for me. :}
