A trick or a treat for Halloween?
Part of my invitation reads:
Though once a year, this day remains,
Our party, and still it reigns,
To rise each year, will you receive,
A trick or a treat on All Hallow's Eve?
Still trying to come up with something good for a teenager party. How can I incorporate the get a trick or a treat theme into it? What are some tricks and some treats? Does anybody have any suggestions???? I am not coming up with anything.
What traditionally is being referred to as a trick or a treat?
TIA
Kaye

Found this very informative & really answers your question.

I understand what Trick or Treat means
I guess I was looking more for ideas of types of tricks or treats to play on the kids? Tricks mostly? Good mischief/pranks to pull on them at the party..maybe a game of some sort.
Guess I didn't make myself clear enough on what I needed, sorry.
Thanks though...

For teenagers, I'd go for gross! Place hand in a bag of worms (actually pasta), etc.

I tend to do more phobia-based tricks. Usually bugs and spiders, especially the ones that drop down after hearing a loud noise. Scared the crap out of some teenagers a couple of years ago.

Well... didn't really come up with ideas for the tricks/treats... but this website has a good idea. Trick or Treat Game, Halloween Party Games
As for a trick... they have to go into the bathroom and chant bloody mary... or I dunno... sorry, when it comes to college parties, these are easy, free drinks (hey, at 23, it's all about new drinks
).
