This year I am doing a Quarantine theme (Or REC, the original movie which was sooo much better)

For the invite, I am going to make up a letter that looks like it is from the CDC (Center for Disease Control). It is going to inform my friends that they believe that my family was infected with an unknown virus and is missing. There will be a DVD in there that will be the last time our family was seen. On the video it will show my wife and I playing hide and go seek with my 4 yr old daughter. She will run upstairs laughing and hide, and all of a sudden the power will go so the lights go dark. You will hear scary sounds and my wife freaking and I will tell her I can switch the camera onto night vision. My daughter will scream so with the night vision on I will go upstairs and into the room where she is just standing there looking out the window, with her back to me. I call her name a few times and she doesnt respond. I get closer and she turns around and is a zombie and lunges at the camera. The camera will shake, hit the ground and turn to static. (I am decent with After Effects compositing so it will look very cool and not cheesy at all)

The guests will be told to report at the house the day of the party and we will have the whole front of the house covered in plastic sheets, with quarantine signs on it. I will have two people in hazmat outfits and gas masks on greeting the guests and spraying them down before they enter. What do you think? suggestions?

Oh man, what a great idea for an invite! Sort of a Cloverfield look to it. Can't wait to see it.

Any toxic stuff involved or just viral? Either way, there would be a great opportunity for "infected" zombies to plague the party from the outside.

For the inside, you could do a version of a vampire party I saw (I think) on this forum. People wait outside to enter, one at a time. When people come inside, they are surprised and get infected by all the zombies inside the house, where they are escorted to a side room to get decked out by several makeup artists that turn them into zombies. You could also have 2 hero's, one firefighter and the other girl with the white tank-top, try to "save" them through the zombie attack. Face paint, dark lips, maybe some rubber flesh pieces, a torn shirt, etc. The new zombie then joins the main room to participate in infecting new party-goers. Combine the attack with flickering or strobe lighting, a short scary sound fx track when the "attack" happens.

That is, if you want a party full of zombies.
Successfully scaring little kids since 1990.

Yes, a total Cloverfield look to it. Shaky, static filled video. I have a different idea for the game because what happens is sooo many people come to this party and they love to dress up. I actually did a costume contest in 2007 and had Shirts made up that said I SURVIVED THE RUSSO MANOR 2007 with a picture of my bloody mask. My costume this year is the SPFX Zombie mask. Appropriate eh? anyway, heres my game this year, let me know what you think. I am not 100% on it as of yet.

Each guest will get a puzzle piece or pieces depending how many people play. They have to figure out which puzzle their pieces below to and complete it. That is how they figure out their team. I like to split up couples ect. Anyway, each puzzle will show a different corpse and then they have to go around the house, outside yard, front, basement ect to find the pieces of their corpse and assemble it. The first team to assemble their corpse wins.
