Default Too early for STD cards?

Do you guys think that it's too early for Save the Date cards? I think it's almost perfect timing. And it will be nice to get everyone excited for Halloween!!

Let me know what you think!

Too funny! My mind was in the gutter when I read the title of this post.
STD did not jump in my mind as "save the date". although now that is funny to me now.

Anyway- had never thought about sending STD's. ( giggle). Good idea. Too early?
Most people, other than us on the forum, think even mentioning Halloween at this time of year is too early. So. go ahead and remind them only 97 days away ! nah, Not too early.
Do it! Send them STD's ( It makes me giggle )

I sent most of our guests a evite STD's about a month ago. So no I don't think it's too early. We have a big family and lots of people planning things evey month...so I always warn them way early.

No! I don't think it's too early at all. I was planning on sending mine right after July 4th, but.... I'm late. It gives people plenty of time to get creative with their costumes. Plus you want your party on their calendar first!!

So is it Save The Date cards, rather than actual invitations that you're mailing early? Or are you actually mailing invitations early?

I think a simple STD card with an invitation to follow is a fantastic way to get people to your party and have them reserve that evening for you.

I know that if someone went to the trouble of sending me a STD card for a Halloween party this early then I would absolutely KNOW that they're going all out for the party and I would be sure to attend!

I am late also. I just sent out our STD last week. We usually send them end of June.

And I too was afraid to click on this topic! LOL
