That brings up another good question. Last year we had some underage neighborhood kids walk up into the party. Fortunately, I had some keen-eyed patrons that promptly relocated them outside. Thus being a liability, how do you handle this sort of issue, or is it an issue for anybody else?
I suppose we may entertain the idea of the hosts taking turns at the door to ensure anyone entering is over 21. Your thoughts?

I was thinking maybe I should do STD cards but I kept telling myself I was insane to be thinking about the party this soon. I'm glad I found you guys because I've now convinced myself to do it. As someone else mentioned, if you go through the trouble to send STD cards, your guests will know that you're going all out for the party. And you can get on their calendars first! I plan way ahead and as I've found out, most people are not like me and we always end up with way more people at the party than expected because no one believes is RSVP-ing anymore. What's up with that??

I just handed out our STD cards yesterday and it really got everyone excited. I bet a lot of them were on line last night starting to search for their costume ideas! I love how the excitement and anticipation just builds from this point on!

I here ya Tish- NObody RSVPs anymore. Even for a 10 year olds birthday party. Pretty rude, I think! Anyway, it is NOT too soon to send out STD cards. With Halloween being on a Friday this year alot of people will be having parties and you want to be the first invite out there. IMHO
