Our theme was PSYCHO, and at the registration desk we had a rack of keys with "Bates Motel" tags and a loop to hang it around your neck. I had tags printed and keys for free from Lowe's.
The idea was that people each got a key and avoided saying a special word. If they caught someone saying that word, they got that person's key. The person with the most keys at the end of the night won a prize.
At the end of the night, I realized we weren't giving out the keys or playing the game.
DOH!
Too much going on. Anyone else ever forgotten to play a game they spent a lot of time preparing for?
I haven't had that happen - but I have to say if you forgot to play it, hopefully it was because you were all having so much fun it got lost in shuffle!
At least you have a party game idea that could be morphed into next year's party.

I was pretty far gone at my party so I almost forgot to have the costume contest! I did eventually remember and had everyone take 5 to gather thoughts and then vote.
