I usually have my party the last Friday of October, but due to scheduling conflicts for some of my guests I had it a week early... Next year, we're back to the end of the month.
I had my Halloween party on the weekend... We had 16 people ... 23 had RSVP'd, so the turn out was a bit dissapointing.
Oh well... their loss, because the rest of us had a great time.

Love the skull! Is that turkey?? I assume you wrapped that around already existing plastic skull? Need recipe if you get a chance. Thanks!

Looks like it was a fun group - I think 16 is a decent size for a really good party!

Your party looked like a lot of fun! What a great spread!
Question about the meathead. I'm planning on making one this weekend. Did people eat it? I didn't want to invest too much time in making it just to find out that people are too grossed out. : )

I used a really goos plastic skull that I got @ Walmart.... I like it because it's dishwasher safe.
I covered it with a thin layer of berry blue Jello (green is a better effect, but I don't like lime flavor) then I layered the turkey on (thin sliced, but not shaved) ... It was my first year using turkey. I find ham much easier to work with. the eyes are the yokes of hard boiled eggs, with olived in the centre. I use a toothpick to dig a bit of a hole for the olives, so that I don't break the yokes.... but it's best to have a couple of extra yokes on hand just in case.
I make the meathead at the same time as the devilled eggs, then I have a good supply of yokes, and if they break, I just toss the broken yokes in with the devilled egg mixtureToday is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday... now you know why.

Thanks... It's me with the neck wound
)
such a cheap, easy costume... and soo comfy. The wound was $10 at a theatrical store, and I paid $1 for the bunny at Value Village(2nd hand place) ... All the make-up and blood was left over from last year. and I wore a pair of my PJ'sToday is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday... now you know why.
