Default Haunted Water?

Ok so here's the deal. We are really stumped on how to decorate our bathroom for the party. At first we were going to do a strobe light and a psycho shower scene. After going in the bathroom with the strobe light on, I think it might make people a little sick, especially if they are drinking. So, we took a blue light bulb and put it in a flood light. That is clipped on the shower rod pointing down at the tub. We really like the way that it looks and creates a whole feeling of being underwater. Thought about drowning a mermaid skeleton but not really liking that idea. What have you got people? I need some cheap, quick ideas before Saturday. ANYTHING is better than nothing.

Thanks.

Last year, for my teenaged son's party, we used a red light bulb for a scary effect. I picked up some of those self sticking "bloody handprints" and a "Beware" sign from Wal-mart. (They look like they are made of blood and will cling to just about any surface.) I used the handprints on the the mirror and put the Beware sign on the back of the toilet. The red light makes a really creepy effect. I plan on doing the same for our "Adult" Halloween party this year. Good luck w/your party!

Last year, I replaced the lights in the bathroom to make a "dimming" effect and on the mirror in bright red lip stick I wrote the words, Candyman, Candyman and on the last Candyman I scrawled the "n" to make it look like the person who wrote it was grabbed....adults will definitely remember that movie....You can place the bloody handprints in the tub for more effects.

We decorated our powder room to look like a lab. Used stone wall scene setter, replaced the bulbs above with red ones. Put some lab "accessories" and small bottles in there with a radio playing creepy sounds. The red lighting was great. The only thing is it's hard to tell whether the toilet is clean to sit down on. LOL! I suppose that could be a good thing.

Default Our bathroom gets raves....

We usually replace the lights with 'black light' bulbs, have Marilyn Mansons "the family trip' playing, fill the bath with bones and water and red cellophane to make it look like blood. Write something creepy on the mirror. This year I am going to paint pentagrams with fake blood on the walls. last year we had a knife (plastic) through the door (wood filler is great!) with blood dripping down the outside and a dummy stabbed hanging on the inside.

You could add some fake vines and moss for a swamp-like effect, and put murky/dirty water in the tub. Maybe stick a few insects to the walls, with some snakes and stuff. A decent dollar store might have all you'd need!

I usually go the red route and decorate our spare shower curtain with bloody handprints... not very original, but ver effective!

Fake vines are an awesome idea. We cut out a bunch of life size arms from poster board and taped them from the bottom of the tub, up the shower curtain. Back lit with the blue. It looks awesome. Definitely getting some fake vines.

Dry ice fog coming out of the shower stall could be good. Put a light inside, too.

We are putting black light bulbs in the fixture, having a real florescent blacklight mounted over the sink, and have the window cling bloody handprints to go on the mirror.

I'm going to write on the mirror something like "the blood... won't wash off...it won't wash off..."

I have a portable cd player and mini speakers that are going under the sink that are going to play a continous loop of a woman crying.

We're going to spatter the tub and shower curtain with fake blood too. I like the idea of having a light in the tub, and may actually put the black light in there with the fabric softner spattered to glow in the black light instead of blood.

this year we are doing a psycho type scene in the bathroom the light in there is replaced with a red bulb there is fake blood on the mirrors and covering towels we picked up at goodwill the shower curtain is down and the tub will be used as a cooler filled with ice, drinks, fake blood, body parts, and a head form draped with a bloody shower curtain. the best thing tho was a suprise hit last year. get yourself one of these
