    Hi all,
What good Halloween party is a hit without a shot luge (commonly called a Vodka Luge). The problem is finding a mold for one at a reasonable price. Last year I made my own luge that worked fairly well. It wasn't without it's issues, but it worked for an hour or so. Long enough to be a HIT and get people lubricated!
Has anyone found a decently cool luge mold at an affordable rate? I found one in the UK that's PERFECT, to the tune of $2,000 by the time it's shipped.

Anyone???? I'll add if I find a better deal.

HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO SPEND?
you can hire an ice sculptor.
they are pretty simple, so it shouldnt cost as much as a full blown carving (depending on the detail you want)
check NICA website for local sculptors and get their pricing.

At work we have our own Clinebel Ice machine. so I can get Ice block for free. Too bad your so far away.

I've checked for sculptors and can't find any here. No cooking schools, high grade caterers, etc. I'm in a pretty small town that seems like it takes FOREVER to catch up with trends. I can't even get blocks of ice bigger than 5 or 10 pounds, and forget about any clear ice! I'm still looking, but it looks like I may have to get a little more technical this year and make a mold using food grade latex. I was hoping to spend more time on my props and less on the party planning..... oh well.

I just tried to cut and paste from the website, sadly, I failed. It looks like it would be fun, but they are not manufacturing it yet. I think enough people need to pre-order one before they start to make it. Though it is on sale until it reaches the threshold...

    Wow really old thread.

And to think I was going to post about some luge that I saw a few different times at different HomeGoods/TJmaxxs' like these, then I looked at the pictures on the links post and wow no comparison.

Anyone seen any halloween related ones?

We had one a couple years ago - pic on my blog:

    http://www.heatherscreativelife.com/...shot-luge.html

I got this relatively simple one done for $125 including delivery, set up, and drain tray. It didn't have skulls or pumpkins (I didnt care to spend more $$) but it did have a color changing light, and people LOVED it. It melted on our front lawn for a week I think

Try caterers/banquet halls/wedding coordinators - maybe even do a craigslist post under artists & gigs? I had a hard time finding someone with a website while doing google searches, so maybe look for ice sculptures first, and from there ask if they'll do a luge.
