Default My party recap & pics

Here: http://home.att.net/~bohemianwench/party04.htm

Lots of ideas/plans for next year already (including taking the next day off work or, better yet, having it on a Saturday... John's work schedule required it to be on a Sunday this time around). Will definitely keep the guest list small and keep it no costumes, but will probably have a theme (thinking silly slippers or something for next year).

Sound slike you had a great time. I have a pretty big collection of wooden dishes too! I like that big ol' bowl where did you find that?

If you can make it to my door you deserve candy!

Where did you get the eyes in the candy dishes? Those were so cool!

I could feel the soft, shivering touch of the lips on the sensitive skin of my throat, and the hard dents of two sharp teeth, there I closed my eyes in langorous ecstasy and waited, waited with beating heart-Bram Stoker

Your party turned out cute! I think I may steal this idea for next year, to get everyone (the few friends that help with the big party we throw every year) in the Halloween mood before our big weekend bash. We can finalize our decorations, menu, make any decorations we need to make, etc.

BlackDawn: I got the giant wood bowl at a local thrift store (I won't tell you how little I paid for it). That's where it all came from: either thrift stores of flea markets. I sell some of it as a side business, but end up falling in love with some pieces (like the big bowl) and just adding them to my collection.

Halloweenqn: I bought the gummi eyeballs at a cider mill; the only place I've seen them in person. I found them online (here), and plan to order them for TOTers next year. They don't seem to have the ones in the little plastic capsules anymore... KNEW I should have ordered them earlier (from now on will keep these to use as decorations)! When I first discovered these candies, this place had the best price. They're getting more popular now, and I think more widely available, so you might find a better price. (this place has them in the capsules, but they're not cheap)

It was bugging me that I didn't make the favors* I planned to for everyone (the "nevermore" image from the invites), but I think I found something cooler...although it will be a couple of weeks late. While we were watching the movies, a lot of the dialogue cracked people up, but this quote most of all. I'm ordering 1" pins from mushycat with the image below that I made up today. I just have to doublecheck the wording.

*Most of the crowd collects/enjoys favor pins and I wanted to start having something cool for each party/bad movie night. Can't afford to do this for all of them, but how neat is this?

Have to slightly re-do the graphic, bugger it. It's "Please don't," not "Do not." But it's an easy fix and I can order the pins!
