I'm trying to come up with a short little invitation poem or saying that would be good for a little Halloween gathering on the Saturday before Halloween. So far, I'm coming up blank. Any idea what would be a good little invite.

Come join us and celebrate Halloween
We guarantee it'll be a scream
Have some punch and a good scare
We hope to see you there!
What kind of monsters will you see?
We wont know until you R.S.V.P!
That's me! I got them from a book (linked on that site) -- there are more, I just pulled a sampling.
We used the Raven idea, and added images of ravens.
If you go to my links page (in sig), there is another link under the Invitations section, to a list of spooky literary quotes, or looke for Victorian Halloween cards -- they loved Halloween! But the one CatMean gave has the best ones, in my opinion.
". . . he would have passed a pleasant life of it, in despite of the Devil and all his works, if his path had not been crossed by a being that causes more perplexity to mortal man than ghosts, goblins, and the whole race of witches put together, and that was--a woman." Washington Irving, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
