Black plastic ($4.95 for 25x10 ft sheets), strobe lights (little ones for $9.95 at Wal-Mart), a good mask ($5.00-$25.00 depending on what you want), and set-up a mini-maze down in the basement, where you can have them walk through it, and you jump out at random places scaring the crap out of them. A good small haunted maze for under $50.00.

I've posted this earlier...I know how to do a lot of stuff cheap...

My first parties had to be done cheaply. I've learned to be the queen of cheap. I took cardboard boxes and made all kinds of stuff. Cut the up and duct tape or staple them together for tombstones, fences, a 6' coffen lined in black trash bags. Love those trash bags. I went to Lowes and bought a box of 55 gal. drum liners. There are 40 bags to a box and they are 3 ft X 4 ft 8 in. Cut the bags down the side seams and they are over 8 ft long. I cover walls in this stuff and I do it with two clear push pins at the top and tape the sides together (on the back side so the tape doesn't show). Now take some brown paper bags and cut a lot of leaves (pointy oval shapes) crumple and throw around your tombstones, add some craft moss ($ store has it for a buck a bag), Spider webs, throw in some bones (bag of bones or a blow mold skeleton) and you have a really cheap graveyard for an indoor party.

If you don't have black lights, replace existing light bulbs with blue light bulbs and it'll give a moon light glow.

I can do an entire room as a graveyard for under $25.

I take brown paper and make door covers (brown paper painters tarp for 2.49 at lowles). I use markers and make to paper look like wood and have done dungeon doors, haunted house doors, outhouse doors.. ideas are endless.

I use pole lamps and add a styrofoam head, mask and then dress and you have a 6 ft static prop. Cover furniture with white sheets, use moth balls for musty smells.

I have lots of ideas that cost nothing or next to nothing. If you want more ideas, let me know what the theme needs to be and I'll be glad to help.

Don't let people drive you insane when you know it's within walking distance.
