our guests are droppin out like flies. So..we decided to 're-book' for Nov 12 and hope the weather will be better. If it's not, I give up.
We'll leave the decos up, clean more and the food will be cheap. The prizes will keep. Hopefully we'll get a turnout!

It's so disappointing isn't it? I had to do the same for my party, we rebooked for the 5th. It's so frustrating to put all that effort into getting everything ready and then know that you have to do it all over again.

Hey, maybe your guests who usually bring you like a bottle of wine as a hostess gift will pick up a cool prop on the after Halloween sales for you!
In fact maybe all you rescheduling could add a Demon's Delight, Black Cat's Auction, or Witches Cauldron or some such name for a dirty style auction. It would be a great way for everyone to get something. Assuming they can get to stores.

We had "very small party" part 1 tonight, but yeah, we called around and waved off everyone that would have had to drive in from further away. So we're also rescheduling for post-Hall party part 2. We still had fun tonight though, and boy, there was definitely enough to eat! We're looking at it as now we have all kinds of time to finish up the the inside things we didn't get to do, plus a chance to celebrate Halloween all over again sometime in Nov. So, bonus, I guess?

talking, i have to agree. we had about 9 folks show up from maine...kudos for driving 3-4 hours to get here for the party...we are re-scheduling for nov 12 with hopes for better weather and it gives me an excuse to keep the decos up for a while.

Sorry to hear you had to reschedule but glad you could find a solution. Best of luck on the weather front for your next party date
