My sister is throwing a Halloween party, but it's turning into just a excuse to have a party. I wanted to bring back a more Halloween-ish theme by pulling a prank.

I have a few ideas, but they seem flat: hiding a bug/spider into food. I need help coming up with a prank that can be done with one person and relatively cheaply.

    Any ideas?

Yeah. Nothing. It's like them hanging out. Except with the word "Halloween" in front of it. >.<

how old are your sister and her friends?

consider the layout of the home...could you sneak into an adjoining room, make some sort of noise, then get out without them seeing you?

maybe just hide a cassette player nearby, with a long tape in it on playback. On this tape, you have previously recorded a noise, voice, whatever, and left long periods of silence on the tape between noises. That way, you'd have, say, an eerie laugh, followed by 10 minutes of silence, then a cat screeching, with 15 minutes of silence, a loud groan, followed by 10 minutes of silence, and so on.

is there a basement? are they afraid to go into the basement? can you hide down there and make some noise?, like a creepy laugh?

motion activated, noise making props are also good, especially in the bathroom, refrigerator, microwave (they go to make microwave popcorn, open the door, there's a laffing skull)

They are in their early 30s and the party is outside. I really like the cassette idea! I could crank up my "bad" headphones n my battery powered mp3 player. And remix the noises from Nox Arcana or something...

I did find semi realistic spiders to hide around food/drinks. It's BYOB. Not sure if I can "taint" the food.
