Hi guys, I need some help. I'm happy with the decorating in my living room but I've got a second room (which is nominally a dining room although it's sort of a library-cum-pets-room really and we never eat in there) and I'm just drawing a blank on how to decorate it. The problems are:
1) We can't really move the chinchillas out of the room. Their cage is too big and bulky.
2) The ceilings are very high in this house so there's a lot of wall space to cover and
3) We rent the house, so we can't make any major alterations such as hammering things in to walls and doors etc
I'm hoping to have my dessert table in here, but at the moment all I've got is an old table covered with some creepy cloth. Can't think for the life of me how we can liven up the wall behind it.
Here are some pictures...please help!
My crappy dessert table. Not very Hallowe'eny.
Book shelves and guinea pigs
Chinchillas and their huge cage

do you have an overall theme? ast year i dressed my ratcage wich is also tall like youre ( but not so wide) out as a ghost lol. I used white sheets and sew black fabric to be classic BOOH ghostly eyes and mouth on it. That way the rats had a bit of peace and noone got any good ideas about feeding them vodka worms or something like that ( lol actually we didnt drink last year it was a film event but still..)

Tack up some ripped up black garbage bags on the wall maybe?
Just cover the cages with white sheets and put one of those caution tape thingys around them....

Good idea sas! Make it a murder scene. Use caution tape and make an outline of a body on the floor. As for the wall, a creepy scene setter might work. cover the cages with the bloody cloth or white sheets with blood splattered. Hope that helps!
