Thread: Ghoul's Night Out!

October 8th I had my first Ghoul's Night Out! About twenty women attended, all decked out to have some girl time of cocktails and plenty of laughter. My girlfriends thought I was out of my mind planning the party the same week that we said goodbye to our foster baby--had him for 14 out of his 18 months , but it was the perfect distraction. I kept it really simple with a Facebook/email invite, a couple of appetizers and drink selections, and no real plan for the night's events. Several witches brought yummy food and bottles of wine to share. I did give out a cute Bath and Body Works prize basket for the best dressed Good Witch and Bad Witch. Thank you to all of the Forum Witches for their great ideas and inspiration. We have decided that this is definitely going to be a new annual tradition.

Went through your photos and it looks like you had a great party! I may have to do something like this for me and my girls next year. My son is having major major surgery in the summer and planning something along these lines instead of my big haunt might be right down my alley. Thank you for sharing!

Sorry you had to let your foster baby go. I used to tell my daycare parents that I only borrow them (the kids) for a little while, but their mine while I have them. Still miss them when they leave though.

Aww, thanks Tannasgach. This one did feel like "mine", but it's nice (and rare!) when the parents really do get their act together for the sake of the kids---bittersweet. The party was fun, and just what I needed. Too bad we live on opposite coasts or I'd invite you

That looks like so much fun! Maybe next year I will do that instead of the big bash we have. Especially if we have low attendance again this year. I could do a small Ghouls-only event a few weeks before Halloween on a much smaller scale. We'll see....
