I decorated for our women's art journaling group on the 9th. We exchanged themed gifts and goodies. My favorite goody bag item was sling shot tarantulas from Michael's. Had it not been for all the candles, we could have had a lot of fun with those...

Here's a link to the rest of the pictures...

Wow, you have a ton of boney bunch figures! Everything looks great I especially like those owl pillows.

Thanks, it was a fun day! The owls are part of the 2011 Woof & Poof collection.

I was so looking forward to decorating because my house is too small for my collection and I wanted to use as many pieces as I could. What I didn't anticipate was the initial reaction my friend's had. They seemed overwhelmed, taken aback even. Hadn't expected that, but at the same time, I've had a similar reaction when presented with large collections for the first time. Could also be that most people here aren't familiar with Yankee Candle's Boney Bunch as our YC store opened just before Christmas last year. Boney Bunch isn't intended to be spooky as evidenced by their goofy grins, rather it's more humorous. My favorite pieces this year are are "Bobbing for Apples", "Rest In Pieces", "Death Warmed Over" (Grim Reaper), "Times Up!" (Grim Reaper, not pictured). And "Bonsey" the dog is pretty cute running around with that leg bone. Still trying to make sense of the Elf. There are Boney arms extending out the sides of the Christmas package...not sure what the story is there. Anyone willing to hazard a guess?!

I'm hosting another party next weekend for a youth group on Make A Difference Day. Planned most of the decorations today. Only using a quarter of what I used last weekend. My decorations for Halloween will be even less. I try to cater more to the pre-school through elementary school age children.
