Thanks PumpkinPie!! I was just in Walgreen yesterday and they had some great Halloween items. Luckily it's only a few blocks away so I can stop in there every once in a while and see when they start marking stuff down. Ohh I don't like that Dollar Tree switches to Christmas soo early!! Thanks for the heads up! I will have to head there this weekend and check it out.

Good thing about this party is there is no set theme. Just anything Halloween...and it can't be too scary for the kids! So it should be interesting at what it all looks like put together!

I am about to order some little trinkets from USTOY. What great prices!! I'm getting around 7 items (each in groups of 2 or 3 dozen) and it'll only be $7.77!!!! CAN'T BEAT THAT!! You guys rock!! Thanks for all the advice!!

I usually have an adult/kid party as well. One thing I have learned is to make the back yard "scary" for the older kids and adults but keep the front yard as a pumpkin patch for the little ones that might spook easy. I'm able to borrow a small bouncy house from one of the neighbors that usually keeps them entertained and gives the parents a little break. Just today at Target I found a few items that I'm going to add to the pumpkin patch. Inflatable witches hat ring toss game, a Pumpkin bean bag toss game, and a spiderweb "dart" style game (uses sticky spiders instead of darts). Also at Party City I found an inflatable cooler which looks like a house which is also a ring toss game. I also bought them bouncy balls and little pumpkin bubbles (Dollar Tree). I found keeping the little ones busy usually ensures the parents will stay a little longer and helps early meltdowns. Oh yeah, plus if you include fun songs in between other songs in your playlist (Witch Doctor, Monster Mash, etc....) it will keep them occupied.

I forgot to add that the Hat ring toss was $6, the pumpkin bean bag game was $10, and the spiderweb dart game was $5. The bubbles and balls were 12/$1. The cooler was $20, it was an impulse buy that I convinced myself I HAD to have.

Thanks for the input, panzafit! We are actually having the party inside the house and in the garage. We will be setting up 2 bedrooms for the kids area and will have all different crafts and what not for them..along with kid friendly scary movies. Usually when we have get togethers, the kids tend to go off and play by themselves anyways soo I'm hoping they do the same for this party! I will definitly have to invest in more games for them! I think we will be doing a feel box game! That's always fun.

Sooo I randomly found some pretty cheap full sized candy bars at--get ready--Advance Auto Parts!! haha. We were there today picking things up for the truck and I spotted the prices on their snack rack. .45 huge milk duds boxes, snickers, mentos fruit, mamba sours, kit-kats, and gum. Plu .25 tic-tacs (but I didn't grab any of there) I think that's a pretty good price.. & kind of funny! Well these will all be great additions to the Prize Packs!!
