Well, we serve meatballs in a crock pot and label them "bite-size bits of flesh" or some such nonsense...use toothpicks to eat them with.

How do you make the buffalo chicken dip? My Be WITCHY party is tomorrow night and I have everything set for it, but have the annual Boo Bash on the 29th and would like some different things since many will be at both.

I just remembered im making something with olive tapanade ( spread) as well. Its all black so im putting it in a square tray with a half burried rubber skeleton, and a gravestone, and some parsley or other herbs as " gras" around the edge of it. You could serve that with witches fingers made out of bread.

Buffalo Chicken Dip:
1 rotisserie chicken diced. (you can use 2 cans of canned chicken but I've always used fresh)
1 cup Ranch dressing (about 1/2 of small bottle)
2 pkgs cream cheese - softened
3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red HotŪ) **I use Franks Buffalo Chicken Wing sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Blend cream cheese with Ranch dressing, spread on oven safe dish
Mix hot sauce with chicken and spread on cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake @350 until bubbles in center
serve with celery sticks and crackers.
It looks better layered, but for Halloween, I mix it all together and put in a crock pot. You can also put a bit of green food coloring in it for a really disgusting look

ps, make lots of it, because my guests end up fighting over it and standing over the dish!

I do sausage cheese meatballs displayed in a trifle dish (really deep glass bowl on a pedestal for making trifle desserts) and label them goblin brains... they disappear fast and they aren't hard to make.

(I don't use the jalapeņos and use regular sausage, and they taste fabulous)I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002
