These are wooden coffin boxes with cast resin crosses. I stained the coffins with black wood stain and painted the inside red.
The crosses were cast from a combination of two crosses that I glued together before creating the silicone molds.

The resin was tinted with silver and then highlighted with gold rub-n-buff.

The eyeballs were made with poured sugar into a half sphere mold that I had painted with gel food coloring.
After un-molding the candies I touched up the pupils with black.

I made gingerbread truffles hand dipped in white chocolate.
The blood was streaked on with candy gel color and a hard candy pupil was pressed on top before the chocolate set.

I created the paper invitation in Illustrator and InDesign before printing and hand tearing the edges.

Those look amazing! I wish I could send out awesome looking invites, but most of the people coming to our party are more the Facebook/college age set...maybe in the future I can do something as creative as this. Good job.

I made 16 coffins, most will be hand delivered. I will have to mail two of them.
I have bubble-backed paper to place inside the lid. They are all going local so I'm hoping that flat rate priority mail will work.
We'll see, they go out tomorrow.
