Soo ive got a plan for my insane asylum decoration now:
There will be new labels on all drinks, and every room including front door get signs.
    1) entrence/hall - the reception. A desk, check in papers, and other papers scattered around. Pictures on the wall of the "staff" and the " building" ( of the net, some creepy old ones)

    2) kitchen area: the laboratorium, specimen jars galore, and all the food and drinks are here. Also i am thinking about if i should set up a small tc and let it run old black and white films inthere, but not sure..

    3) bathroom " The therapy room" -gore! Picture of brains, bodies, and real images of people getting a lobotomy done. bloody showecurtain, and a few instruments on the floor.. also pictures of real life " bath/water therapy -they use to let peopel sit in water all day long to " calm" them...

    4) livingroom " the entertainment area" -main party room, chairs tables etc, bars on the window, all the game stuff, books i made new backsites on with new titles accordin to theme, and some wierd old 50s games and creepy old ladies magazines from the 50s i once found in an attick..

    5) my bedroom -NOTHING lol.. i dont want people roaming about in there, also in case any old mental patients decide to haunt ME for using their picks i dont want them inthere either

-ive got one room left -a medium sized bedroom, that i normally use for my creative stuff/officie/ toys/guestroom/storage lol..
I want this room to be a patients room, but also a room where you FEEL insane wehn u are in there. Mood made by noises and lightning. And im asking everyone to put their coats inthere so they HAVE to go inthere wich is why i want to make it proper creepy :-D

Ideas so far is sound of creepy childrens songs, from somewhere, and a very dark room where light controls what they see. I want a patient sleeping in the bed ( where they should put their coats)
I have a very very limited budget because im unemplyed right now, and i dont have any prop-skills, so it should be somewhat easy -im thinking ill make the patient out of a sleepingbag and a dolls head or something.. I have a coupple of creepy dolls that can go inthere. My brother has a strobe light i can borrow.

So all ideas, or thoughtss bring it on, i need inspiration badly for this room..

Sounds like you got everything planned to a T! All of your ideas are super awesome. I like the idea of having children whispering and giggling in your "coat room". Since you already have dolls, it works perfectly. You could also make a couple of "children's drawing" with crayon and hang them on the walls.

You could hang white fabric/bed sheets over all the walls, creating a white 'padded' cell. If you could get your hands on some colored light bulbs and make the room glow in red, that would be super creepy. Again, having a radio hidden in the room with recordings of children whispering, giggling and humming a tune. Dolls and toys all over the room. You could make a child sitting in the corner of the room, facing the wall. You could easily make it using a child's nightgown or pair of pajamas and just stuffing it with rags or newspapers. For the head, use either a plastic or foam skull and throw a wig on it.

How about a fake strait-jacket? You could take an old jacket, turn it inside-out, and attach old belts (preferably leather). Make it a display prop and threaten folks with being put in it if they don't misbehave!

It sounds good! You are doing very similar things to our asylum, it's a good theme! We have a "childrens ward" where we will have all of our creepy and distorted dolls (we got a little aggressive with some to make them look old and worn down) and we will have them in an old crib with some pics and signs and we got the creepiest CD of kids crying and chanting things like turn around, go back and it has music boxes and stuff playing too! We are just sticking this scene in one corner as it is sort of a dead space (no pun intended!). Our other rooms are the check in area, a small space they have to go through to get in which will be the claustrophobia treatment, stairs going to the basement which will be the medical experiments room (a space all draped in black with some props - a manequin surgeon, several body parts, etc), the food will be in the employee cafeteria and all food items will be faux body parts, and last is our bathroom which is the insect/spider treatment room - lots of webbing, creepy crawlies, spiders and things hanging from the ceiling. We will have test tube shots, a costume contest, and each guest will also get a toe tag with a number that will be used for a raffle at the end of the night. I am excited it is so soon!

That sounds cool. Mine is just minor decorations for a small party in my appartment, and im aming more at less toys more realism. There will be a few dolls just to represent the demented minds of people. But im very inspired by the sick minds of the people who ran the places, and who thought they could cure insanity totally by more or less torturin git out of people ..
