I am looking for kids activities for a halloween theme birthday party.
I found color a cookie
http://coloracookie.com/
and food doodler
http://www.foodoodler.com/cookie-coloring-kits.htm
i remember seeing something like these at a supermarket a while ago.
But now I want to buy them I cant find them.
Well, I found them online. but I wanted to see them.
not sure which to go with. The food doodler also comes in packs of eight (I think)
i guess my main concern is that I didnt want a cheesy small version of what i saw in the past.
anyone have experienece with either or both and can recomend one.

I don't have experience with either of those, but I can suggest a few activities
Not sure what the age group is, but you could decorate pumpkins (yarn hair, goggly eyes, etc). We did this for my 10th birthday and all my friends loved it
We also did bobbing for apples! You could do a pumpkin hunt with those little plastic pumpkin pails that hold a couple of pieces of candy. To make it even more fun, have the kids hunt the pumpkins in the dark with flashlights. Play the mummy wrap game (have the kids wrap eachother in toilet paper)...this always gets loads of laughs!

I have purchased these before. I believe the brand I purchased was color a cookie. Mine were for a shrek birthday party when my son turned 4. I bought one for each kid to take home- each comes with color pens, right? We didn't do it as an activity- each was individually sealed. I thought they were so cute! I never heard any negative things about it? If memory serves me correctly, I don't think it tasted all that great but what do you expect from a pre packaged cookie right? I am sure the kids loved them. LOL The fun is in coloring them.

You could have the kids sit in circle and play the RIGHT LEFT game. You read a story and they have to pass an object either to the right or left. Everyone gets the same object except the birthday girl/boy, like all eyeballs and one heart or all bones and one skull and after the story is over who ever is holding the one odd object wins the game. There is a printable Halloween story on line just print it off and it's fun and most age groups can play.

This game is totally on my list of games to play! I wanted to play this at our last Halloween party but never did so I am doing it this yr. We used to play this at work for Christmas time and it was so funny. If I thought it was funny at 25 then 9 and 10 yr olds should think it's awesome! There is a story online.. The Wrights Halloween story. I just have to come up with enough prizes for 25-30 kids. I think I can go through my totes and come up with some stuff!
