I'm going to make a "Witches' Brew" punch and have decided I want it to be a green colour. Anyone got any good recipes? Please none with "Kool-Aid" in, we don't have that here and as I'm not actually sure what it tastes like I can't even guess what would work as a substitute!

Also, anyone got a recipe for Candy Apple shots?

    Thank you

I'm also doing a green punch AND candy apple shots! LOL My punch recipe actually does require kool-aid lol. But the recipe could probably be tweeked. Excluding the kool-aid, it calls for a 46oz can of pineapple juice, 3 ltrs of lemon lime carbonated beverage and 1/2 gl of lime sherbet (I'm also adding a bottle of rum). You could just add some green food coloring The candy apple shots is just equal parts of sour apple pucker, cinnamon schnaps and vodka.

Ah, I think Midori might be the way to go, I'm not at all sure we have sherbert like that in this country. I mean, we have sherbert, but it's mostly in small packets that children eat. I've never heard of sherbert being used in a drink here although it seems quite common in the US.

It's funny, isn't it, how much little things vary from country to country? For instance, Lays aren't called Lays here. I find things like that quite interesting.

    Thanks for the replies folks

ETA: and also, English people don't know what "ranch" is. Seriously!

I'm doing a green punch for our party also.
It contains Midori, Malibu coconut rum, pineapple juice, a touch of ginger ale (or Sprite / lemon-lime soda) and lime flavored tonic water (to make the punch glow in blacklight) I have tried it and I found it to be very yummy.

That sounds great, Jakiedoodle. I don't like ginger ale so I might do this using sprite

Sherbert in the US is a kind of ice cream, sorbet with a little dairy added to it so it's not quite as fattening as real ice cream. The closest thing we have to UK sherbert powder here is Fun Dip, which isn't all that fizzy. Every so often there'll be some generic novelty candy that does the same thing though.

I make a rum punch with pineapple juice, orange juice, sprite and just enough blue curacao to turn it a swampy green color. Kind of ghastly green but yummy
