Hi all - I am getting geared up for our party and have lots of things in place but feel it needs something special. I have to preface what we are doing with the fact that I will be over 7 months pregnant when the party takes place so I can't do anything too crazy! We usually have around 50 people and here is what we have so far:

Invites have gone out asking for involuntary committment at our hospital to cure you of all your fears...and to dress appropriately (either what you are afraid of, what you fear becoming, or something just plain crazy!)

To get into the house you have to go through the garage that will be set up as a claustrophobia treatment - the hall will continue to get narrower until you reach the door and have to crawl through a small space into the mudroom that will have a flashing strobe light and a curtain hanging that says morgue...an opaque curtain so you can see a dead body on top of the washer and dryer.

The bathroom will be an hands-on insect (or all spider, haven't decided) therapy area with a ton of webs, bugs, crunchy stuff on the floor and things hanging from the ceiling.

My house is sort of loft style - it is all one open room. In the living space we want to set that up as maybe the waiting room but not sure how to decorate that. We were going to try and make the space look clinical and cover everything in white and have a check in area where you get your wristband and a vial of "pills" to admit you. The kitchen will also be draped in white and on the bar there will be test tube and syringe shots. Food will be up there and will be labled as the employee cafeteria and everything will be a food item (flayed flesh - roast beef, toes - little smokies, guts - spinach dip, etc). In one corner we will have a children's ward with all the old dolls and toys we have from last year's Carnevil theme. We will also have a candy bar set up as a pharmacy.

The basement was going to be our operating room/torture area?? We have lots of black draping and found some old rusty tools and saws at a garage sale that we were going to set up around one of our mannequins dressed as a deranged DR.

I feel like we are being lazy with the decor. I don't know how much white sheets feel clinical but that was all we could come up with. Does anyone else have good ideas to make it more real or at least more fun? We considered playing a game that someone on here had done where they gave toe-tags to everyone coming and they could exchange/steal/bribe others for them, etc so that would be a game we could play. Any other ideas?? Thanks all!

A lot of people are afraid of heights. And maybe you could add some shock therapy somewhere?
