I am just venting now cause it's been one crap day. I host a rather large Halloween party every year but it is held at my parents home as it is far larger than mine and they are ver gracious people who enjoy a good party. My house is in a shoddy neighborhood and is VERY small. So small intact that I didn't have anywhere to store my Halloween stuff. So, into the trunk of my car, I put all of it. Some *insert expletive here* broke into my car last night and stole two things, my cel from my glove box, and the $45 bottle of absinthe that I had stored in the trunk for my Halloween party! No absinthe for my guests and I'm sitting here without a phone to report any of this, until tomorrow, as if the cops would do anything. They're too busy writing tickets for minor speeding infractions and people caught with weed! UGGGHHH!!! SO PISSED RIGHT NOW!

I'm sure you all have great stories of your props disappearing from your yards right?

So sorry this happend to u.. Seriously call up and demand to speak with the sarge or watch comander tell them no matter what or how small ur property was u want to file a burgler crime report.. Iam scared to put any of my props out side except for lights cuz some shady person might steal it.. Sux but its the world we live in...

Thanks! I have filed a police report but I'm doubtful anything will become of it, I live in a mid-sized city so they're kinda busy. A friend will be replacing my phone with their old one and I'm starting an absinthe fund LOL! My car has been broken into 3 times in the last 8 months though so I think part of the issue is that My Toyota Corolla is so easy to get into. Working on getting over it.

so sorry to hear that I also live in a shatty area lol and there are all these bad as kids that run around in my yard while there are empty lots around us and they have their own damn yard so i let my dogs go out and bark at them lol but sometimes i cant even have my front door open because the kids make my dogs go crazy i decorate w lights on the porch but for my party i drag everything out in the yard and do it up then the next day i will take it all down except for porch... funny thing is all the kids will look at my house and think o0o0o that will be a good TOT house to go to and when they come by on halloween its pitch black and i dont ever hand out candy to those damn rugrats LOL i wish there were good kids believe i would hand out candy but nooo lol just venting too!

My first thought is that I actually HOPE they attempt to drink the whole bottle in one night! Serves em right!

I was actually just thinking that I wish there were more good PARENTS! Kids don't freaking raise themselves! I couldn't agree with you more.
