I am having a party for my daughter who is 10. I liked the idea of a ghost restraunt. We are going to decorate the whole downstairs except bedrooms. The livingroom is the waiting area with full body skeleton sitting in a chair we don't want used. I am going to do a spiders backdrop to block a bedroom door and others all over the room. The restraunt will be in the dining room with bloody table cloth. Kitchen will be a witches den. The bar is a crypt where the food and drinks will go. I will block another doorway with a dungeon backdrop. The bathroom is a crime scene. What I am wondering is a food menu and what would be good to drink. Keep in mind this is a childs party and we have allergies. We have a child allergic to citrus, one allergic to cinnamon and one allergic to chocolate. I want to do an appetizer, main course and a desert. Any ideas are appreciated.

I love the idea of a ghost restaurant! Food ideas is definitely gonna be a challenge. Here are a few suggestions to get people thinking.

    appetizer: Ghost crackers

    potato: Ghost potatoes

meat: Meatball eyes (combine this idea with the veggie idea listed below to avoid those dreadful citric-filled ketchup smiles)

    veggies: Goblin Grins

dessert: Ghost with flaming eyes cake

    drink: ectoplasm...............
ingredients: clear colored koolaide (mystery flavor packets) prepared with tonic water if you want it to glow under a black light, or add green food coloring and tapioca beads. and/or maybe some dry ice for special effect

here is a link for dry ice usage and advice http://www.hauntyourhome.com/howto/dryicedrinks.htm

Quick question ~ do you want everything ghost themed? I've got many, many recipes (and ideas) for foods that are just creepy, but wanted to clarify what you were wanting before I *junked up* your thread.

Oooo! Not sure if it fits so much with the ghost theme, but I made little hot dog octopuses once. Cut a hot dog in half and then on one end cut it up like a pizza pie. Boil, and the ends should curl up.
