Thread: Day of the Dead Gone Wrong

Hey guys, I'm new here and this is my first post(: So I think I have a good idea for my annual outdoor Halloween party/bonfire. I think I want a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Gone Wrong theme. What I mean by this is I want a classic day of the dead theme, with a lot of gore added and zombie themes. I was wondering if anyone has done this type of theme before and if they good give me some ideas. Also, if your creative, please help me decide on some decorations/food/things I can do to really bring out the Day of the Dead theme. Also, I'm on a very restrictive budget (teenager), so the less expensive, the better! Thanks in advance guys!

Hmmm... Well, what are you thinking with Day of the Dead to begin with? Are you thinking like a zombie thing, or a celebration along the lines of something they would do in another country for the Day of the Dead? Like some places have masks and do big parades, etc. Is that the sort of thing you are thinking? If you can give us a bit more info we might be able to come back with some more ideas for ya.

Hmmm... I guess I don't quite get it either. They're already dead - what more could go wrong? I guess I just don't see how zombies and gore would fit in with Dia de los Muertos. I think if you mix the themes, it's just going to look like a stereotypical Halloween. Nothing wrong with that, I just don't think that's what you're going for. Maybe we need more information.
