Thread: Need Help on Fairy Tale theme and mudermystery (quest)

Now with 42 or 43 days until my party I'm panicking I don't have much of anything done. And I was hopeful that you folks might know how to help.

Theme: Twisted Fairy Tales

I only have two or three rooms to work with and then the outside.

House front: Is going to be decorated with fake candy like the hgtv block party halloween 2009. For those who haven't watched that episode (you have to xD) here are some pictures of a seller on ebay's stuff:
Candy Corn
Lolipops
Gumdrops
Lanterns wrapped in gift wrap.

The Two Mains Rooms:
Forest (Garage) and the Castle
Which I haven't thought of much since I can't perfect a rpg or murder mystery.

The theme isn't as much of the problem as just the fact that I can't think of a roleplay. I don't want anyone to die. I was thinking good vs evil is a world that is torn and thrown into darkness. I'd rather people collect items and search for things to cleanse the world or something like it. Anyone ever do something like this or have links I'm not sure what it's even called.

what if instead of a corpse, you have a prisoner locked away by the evil witch and your guests have to rescue her?

you could use a couple classic characters (rumpelstiltskin, for example) as the evil witch's henchman...and make clues and have the guests perform feats to find and free the victim.
