I feel like all I do is pot 'help me!' threads, but you guys always have great answers and I'm a total noob to a lot of this Halloween stuff!

I'm having a Harry Potter party this year, only my second year hosting and last year was very sedate. I'm expecting a max of 24 people, which is 14 more than last time! The house will be decorated like Hogwarts obviously and everyone will be sorted into houses, and there will be little games they can do to earn points for their house, like trivia and a scavenger hunt.

The problem I'm having is with prizes! I'm going to need a total of 6 prizes (24 people, 6 in each house) and I do want them all to be the same, and they have to be unisex since I won't know until people arrive what house they'll be in. I've gotten as far as thinking I'd like to get boxes made to look like treasure chests (in an antique way, not a cutesy way) and fill them with things. But all I can think of to put in so far is some gold coins for wizard gold.

Has anyone got some ideas to what else could go in the boxes? Ideally it should be inexpensive, and I'm open to either one big prize or lots of little prizes. And it needs to be linked to HP, even tenuously like the gold coins haha

Get some of that HP themed candy, like Bertie Botts beans or chocolate frogs. Or buy them all working Firebolt broomsticks...

Dammit Xane, what part of inexpensive didn't process for you?

I like the candy idea but I'm already doing a Honeydukes candy buffet which'll almost certainly include jelly beans and chocolate frogs! Seems a bit repetitive to put them in the prizes as well.

A little dragon in each box, a pair of glasses - really cheap at dollar stores and party stores, they also have cheap plastic wands, a red feather for a phoenix feather. Let me think a little.

Hp theme... I thought you were going to be giving away laptops. Lol
Try the spirit website or maybe century novelty. We always get Halloween themes gifts for our visitors not specific to Mr. Potter but they may have like candy wands or glasses as others have mentioned.

Mini Firebolt replicas then! Hmm, anyone here been to the Wizarding World and remember any of the smaller incidentals they used to decorate and/or were selling in the gift shop?

Get little airplanes bottles of booze and change the label to some of the concoctions that Ron's twin brothers came up with
