Hey there! So, we are having a Halloween Party pretty soon and we are trying to figure out some games. So far we have: Ghosts in the Graveyard and Murder in the Dark, but we need a few more. We don't want any board games, video games, and NO OUIJA BOARD please. Thanks for the help!

You could try pull the weeds and rake the leaves, then give a prize to the person who gets the most. I also have an apple tree and to that you could add, pick up the most apples off the ground and throw them in the trash...the kids will have a blast with all of these

    Hello fellow UKer! *waves*

I don't blame you for not wanting any ouija board games, those things are creepy IMO.

Is it an adults party or a kids party?

One game I'm planning to play is "Hallowe'en Who am I". Do you know the game "Who am I?" where you give someone a name and don't let them see it (usually it's either pinned to their back or on a post-it on their forehead) and people have to ask yes/no questions to find out what their name is...? Questions like "I am a man? Am I a woman? I am someone who is currently alive?" etc

I'm doing a Hallowe'en version of this. For adults you could have names like Dracula, Frankenstein, Michael Myers, etc. For kids you could have simpler ones such as "A witch", "A pumpkin", "A skeleton."

In the Manner of the Adverb: Two people leave the room, and decide on three basic tasks, such as making the bed, drinking a glass of water, or eatin a sandwich. The rest of the group chooses an adverb- you know, those words that end in 'ly and "modifies the verb" such as "quickly" The two return, and choose people to act out their basic tasks "In the Manner of the Adverb". After each task, the two try to guess the adverb.

Fruit Basket Upset- I modify this for Halloween. The original game is that everybody is assigned one of four different kinds of fruit- apple, orange, grape and banana. Everyone sits in a circle. One person goes into the center and calls out a fruit, such as apple. Everyone who was assigned the apple has to change seats. The person in the center tries to steal a seat as people get up. The person left is the new person in the center and calls out another fruit. If you call "fruit basket", everyone has to change seats. To make it for Halloween, choose a monster- ghost, vampire, werewolf, witch, and call "Halloween" instead of "fruit basket"

Werewolves of Miller's Hollow- This is an official game with cards, but it has the same rules as the parlor game "mafia". You could buy their cards, make your own, or use a regular deck. The basic rules are that, everyone is given a card. Some cards assign people to be villagers, some assign people to be Werewolves. One person runs the game and calls out what happens. Everyone closes their eyes as night falls and they go to sleep. The werewolves wake up and silently choose one villager to eat. They go back to sleep. Everyone wakes up, and find out who has died. The villagers then must choose a person to hang for the crime, and hopefully it's one of the werewolves. The villagers when if they manage to hang all the werewolves. The werewolves win if they eat all the villagers. There are special roles that can be worked into the game as well that change the gameplay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(party_game)

There's the old standby of "Bobbing for Apples." "Sardines" fun with the right crowd and party. We have a photo pop for something to do but it's not necessarily a game. Also, may I suggest "Table Topics" it's a fun game that requires no instruction, just leave it out somewhere and people will pick it up to play in small groups on their own. The biggest downside is that they haven't made a Halloween themed one yet.
