Hello allI need some suggestions for my party this year. We've moved into a new house and it's MUCH bigger which I am mega excited about. So much more room to play
I have a 3rd bedroom that is a spare. It's just a small room. I wanted to make it into a scare room. I know it may sound cheesy, but I thought about making it like a Bloody Mary room. Who hasn't had some fun as silly kids/teenagers and played BM in the bathroom at a sleep over >.< I want my guests to have some childish fun again. I am asking for 2 things. Either a different suggestion altogether for the room, or some ideas for what I can do for the BM room. I'm not going to have alot of extra cash this year, so I can't do anything too extravagant. I also wanted to have an actual person in there somehow to scare people, but I'm not sure if that is going to be feasible as the people who attend want to enjoy the party. So I am looking for ideas that could make it awesome, without necessarily having to have a person in there doing the scaring. Well I'm gettin' a little long-winded here. But if you have any ideas, they are appreciated
Thank you!

Does the room have a vanity? Is there an electrical outlet anywhere near it? Write something in fake blood on the mirror. Get some fake candles, but put blue bulbs in them. Have things pertaining to the game on the vanity. You can use a hand mirror with bloody writing on it. Make a fake body on the floor or bed, and make it look mangled and bloody. Have someone record BMish phrases and loop it. 1. It's said that if a candle flame turns blue, there's a ghost in the room. 2. It'll look like someone was attacked and killed by BM. And 3. It'll sound like BM is haunting the room.

Cheap suggestions:
Place a ton of Mirrors around the room.... in various shapes and sizes... (borrow mirrors, be on the lookout for mirrors on the curb, buy mirrors cheaply at hardware stores). But Secure them so they are safe
Replace the regular lightbulbs in the room with red light bulbs to give the room a red glow
Place candles around the room (Plastic/PVC Candles) to give the room a spooky glow or to draw attention to bloody mary artifacts
Splatter flake blood around the room but only on disposable and washable surfaces
Create blood splatters, and blood drops out of red foam and attach to walls and surfaces
Write Bloody Mary (or Help Me) on the wall or mirrors. (For Walls: You can cut the letters our of red poster board and attach with tape)
Create a cd or tape of voices chanting bloody mary over and over again... then include screams, crying, sounds of struggling, and then silence.... play tape/cd on repeat..Darkness has a hunger that's insatiable
And lightness has a call that's hard to hear- E.A. Saliers

This may just be too much of a pain but, double sided glass? It doesn't look too complex to do with a blacklight and photo.
Another idea: throw everything you have into the room to make it look fantastic, and make people expect to see the above and just get them worked up all on their own and scare them with noise.
Another idea: have a normal creepy room with a black light and a regular light and encourage people to do the chant, then maybe have some kind of a switch to flip off the main light and then using some invisible UV paint write backwards on the wall "you're next" backwards or something macabre or maybe paint a huge macabre image of her face BEHIND the person viewing the mirror, so that it can only be seen when the light is flipped.

Or you could make it into a se'ance room

Have a round table in the middle of the room. Candles everywhere. Quiji board, crystal ball, tarot cards, jewels and crystals
