    Heya all,

So it's that time of year again, countdown is on to crunch time!
This year I'm doing 'Ghosts of Hollywood Past' so come dressed as a past (passed away) celebrity.

I'm going for more of a classic hollywood feel, with life size cuts outs of marrilyn and elvis, hollywood stars and maybe street signs, and then just classic halloween decorations, spider webs, skeletons, etc. Not really clear at this stage, but not wanting anything too grusome this year. Any ideas would be awesome!

    Cheers for any suggestions!

    xx

    You can create

    1) Hollywood Walk of Fame- Create stars for different dead celebrities and tape to the floor... great for a walkway to the party
    2) Graumans Chinese Theater- create wood forms.. pour plaster of paris.... and create different handprints and signatures... or use ink pads to create handprints on posterboard and add signatures with marker
    3) Celebrity Graveyard
    4) Celebrity Museum with pictures and "artifacts" from different Celebrities... make it haunted
    5) Create a Red Carpet Photo Op for your Guests to take pictures with Red Carpet.... Velvet Ropes.... and a BackDrop (aka Step and Repeat)... and papparazi (skeletons or other halloween characters with cameras)
    6) Give Golden Trophies or Movies for Best Costumes
    7) Or Create a Movie Lot type of feel... treat each room like a different stage.... and create a scene from Different Classic Horror Movies in Each room...Example Psycho in the Bathroom... Birds in the Kitchen.... Carrie prom Scene in the living Room with an empty bucket of "Blood" over the entrance into the living room....
Create special seating for the stars (by placing stars, and names behind folding chairs or directors chairs).... create a craft service area...

So much fun. We did this theme two years ago and everyone loved it because it was so easy to come up with costumes. My husband went as Beetlejuice and I was Tippie Hendron from The Birds. There are pics in my album, but everyone's ideas are great. We created our invitations with Holly-ween logo reminiscent of the HOLLYWOOD sign.
There is a great link for more ideas and pics. http://www.bhg.com/halloween/parties...lloween-party/

Cheers heaps for the link badgirl, the ideas on there look great. Which year did you do your hollywood theme? I cant seem to find the picts?

Propmistriss: Love all of the initial red carpet ideas, want to stay away from the psyco-esque decorations, so the skeletons with cameras will allow hollywood to meet halloween without being too graphic! Love it :-)

I've always wanted to do prizes for best costume, but it can be so subjective, not sure I'd want to pick anyone, could always do a 'People's Choice Award' maybe? That would take the pressure off me :-)

Wow...it seems I skipped a whole year of Halloween in my albums. I will try to correct that and add pictures this week
