I need some help!
I'm throwing a Hogwarts Halloween party and everyone who arrives will be sorted into a houseand there are several games they can play during the evening to gain points - such as asking for a trivia question from me, to handing in a sheet guessing the contents of a set of potions, etc etc. Getting a trivia right for example would be ten points, handing a book in is twenty.
All the games are designed to be played whenever people want, so people might be earning points any time during the night. I'm having trouble though - I need a scoreboard of some sort, but can't think of a way to do it.
The Hogwarts way I think was hourglasses full of sand that 'counted' the points, but that's probably too complex to do for a small party. I'd still like something interesting but I need individual score boards for each house, and I just can't seem to think of a way to do it!
Any ideas?

What if you made a scoreboard that you could write on stamp? Maybe some aged looking paper or a small bound book? Kinda getting the idea off the marauder's map. Have it look like blueprints of the house, with little areas in the house or footprints to be the labels for each game. You could have a mark for each amount of points; things like a lightning bolt, mini snitch, potion bottle, the grim, broken glasses, a broom, hat wand. It would be something fun the guests could keep on them and take home to remind them of how much fun they had.
If you wanted to do the marauders map, you could probably make a template on one sheet, and print copies off on marbled or fancy resume paper. Fold it up and leave a spot on the back for the name of the guest in case it gets misplaced...and boom mini marauder's map and scoreboard. Wells, just an idea.

What about something like the quidditch world cup scoreboard...could be made with scrapebooking materials fairly easy

You can purchase large "potion" bottles (Any large glass bottles will work.) On the bottles, paint qty lines...A line for every 10 points earned all the way up the bottle...have a wooden display board set up for each "house." Put the name of the house and the colors on it...Have an area where the boards can be lined up next to one another....After decorating the boards, add a small shelf to them and put the "potion bottles" on each shelf...Have a seperate bottle or bowl filled with colored water and dry ice (a different color/bottle/bowl for each team.) Everytime someone earns 10 or 20 points, pour the corresponding team colored liquid into their potion bottle...first team to fill up their bottle wins..
