So how do most of you send your video invites? I finally have mine completed and uploaded to youtube, but don't want to send a generic email with just a link. I'm thinking people may just think it's another "people of walmart" or some other everyday joke email and won't open it.
I've heard that many people use facebook, which I wouldn't be opposed to except that we have some potential party guests that either don't have a facebook or don't check theirs very often.
Your input is appreciated!![]()

I did this 2 years ago...I posted the video on youtube privately, then just sent (Via snail mail) the link, username and password...The piece of paper looked old and spooky so everyone would know it wasn't just some chain mail link and it was directly related to Halloween.....everyone got on, signed in and viewed the video....they had the option to RSVP by text, e-mail or facebook...(You could also add an RSVP envelope and stamp to the Youtube link that you mail..)

I am going to use facebook for my invites the first time this year. I am hoping that the ease to rsvp will encourage people to do so. I also think that people will enjoy seeing the guest list, plus I like that I can add pertinent party information as it comes up (menu teasers, weather forecast, etc.). Since you have guests who don't have/often check facebook maybe you could email invites to those few people. I'm sure the rest of your guests would enjoy it. Just a suggestion. Good luck and let us know what you decide

Also, if you know a way to upload your video to a facebook 'event' I would love to know how. I seem to be able to upload only photos, but would love to add a jibjab video i made.~ Super Freak
I live in my own little world...but that's okay...they know me there

I'm in the same situation kmb123 - I have a video invite and am trying to figure out the best way to send it. Pingg.com does evites, and you can attach a video to it, but the invitation, along with the advertising that comes with it, takes away the "spookiness". What did you decide to do?
