I bought the magazine Taste Of Home Halloween edition and decided to try a recipe today. They are supposed to represent the melted wicket witch of the west. They are chocolate covered Bugles on Oreo cookies to represent her hat, a "puddle" of white chocolate (colored green) for the witch, and a pretzel and coconut broom. They are really good and not to hard to make.

...chocolate covered Bugles? I'm not sure what to think about that. I guess it would be sort of like a chocolate covered pretzel but... hmm. Maybe if you can find some sample-size cone shaped ice cream cones (most sample shaped ones are the ones that are cylinders with a wider top, not true cone shaped ones)...

They look so cute! I'm not sure about the chocolate covered bugles though......maybe I could substitute Hershey's kisses instead?

I saw that recipe and was thinking about modfying it for my witch party. Last year I did the cookies that are upside down fudge-stripe shortbread topped with a Hershey kiss (with a colored icing bow creating the "glue" to hold it on). I think I'll make those again this year but put them in a puddle of green melted chocolate. Seems less time consuming than the ToH recipe.
