Thread: Invitations and Save the Date

I am going to do my party on 10/29. When would you send out the Save the Date and when would you send the actual invitation? Thanks for your suggestions!

My party is also on the 29th (RSVP 10/21), so I plan on sending the invites either 9/16 or 9/23. I like to give guests enough notice so they don't make other plans I won't be sending save the dates, but if I did, they would've gone out the begining of this month.

My save-the-dates should arrive sometime in the first week of Sept.
My invites should get to them around the 1st or 2nd week of October.(hopefully!)

I don't expect RSVPs. I have alot of people coming and I'm crazyily over-prepared food/drink-wise.
If they can't make it, they may phone to say so or not, but they don't need to.
