It's my senior year of High School and my second year running our annual Haunted Walk. Last year i chose the theme "The Oakcrest Insane Asylum" and it was a hit. This year, i've decided on the theme "The Fear Factory." It would be like an old hidden factory that produces and plays on your deepest fears when inside. It's sometimes frustrating because many of the people in my school aren't as into haunted attractions like I am, but you gotta work with what ya have! haha. Anyway, i've decided to turn to you guys because I am trying to think of fears. Students are chosen to run scenes so i need ideas for people's Fear to be the scenes.
Here are a few that I have:
-Clowns
-Dolls/Puppets
-Crazy People
-The Dark
-Bugs/Spiders/Snakes/Rats
-Cemetary (We have a very woodsy courtyard that we go through, so outside ideas are welcome!)
Thanks!![]()

Claustrophobia. Being disoriented. Lost/in a maze. Being alone/separated from friends.

You seem to have the main ones covered. Old ladies... not witches. The Devil. Doctors/needles. Being alone. Fire, water, electricity etc. Heights and tight spaces. Being lost... or going the wong way. The end of the world. Germs. Oh yeah... and monsters.

Those are great ideas! Thanks! I also thought of another one that would be a huge stretch. Elevators? It would be so cool to have a "Hellavator" at the start of the haunted walk. I would even fit the theme. It would be extremely hard to do
It would be sooo awesome though...

That reminded me of a foreign horror film called "The Lift" - I think this is the version I'm remembering: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087622/
Of course, any inanimate objects/machinery operating by itself or unexpectedly can make for a good startle.

Actually, an elevator shaft might not be that hard of a thing to set up. You could make the illusion with the use of two mirrors, one of them being see through from one side. This guy made an endless tunnel which is only around 3 ft in depth, but looks like it goes on and on. You can see his video here, but skip to just before 12 minutes in to see the finished product or you will be watching him picking out supplies with his kids.
You could probably make this prop and put in vertically over a grate that serves as the floor for the elevator so people have something to stand on, but can see through. I'd build a box over it to simulate an elevator, play horrible squeaking noises inside and have someone outside shake the box while folks are in it. It would make a great entry way into the haunt, kinda like at Disneyland's haunted mansion.

Murderers from horror movies?
Some people are afraid of blood, needles, bad grades, death, loud unexpected noises, stepping on bones, spider webs, other people screaming, ghosts, and the paranormal.

Steve while I was watching you tutorial you had an old lady with walker and shiatsu massager. How are you going to use it? do you have legs on old lady? I saw one at show in Vegas several yrs. ago but they had no legs or lower body and they really shook. Would like to make one if anyone knows how. Thanks
