Thread: Anyone hosting a Wonderland party this year?

While at Barnes & Noble today I saw a book in the craft section that looked like it would be great for anyone doing a Wonderland themed party. It's called "Everything Alice: The Wonderland Book of Makes and Bakes". I just flipped through it - didn't have time to do a thorough exam - but the one thing that stood out the most was the meringue mushrooms, such a cute idea!

That would be cool for an Alice themed party. I would definitly incorporate a long buffet table ala the Hatters Tea Party with candelabras, several pots of different tea etc.

Thankyou for the tip. For next year we were thinking about going with a Witches in Wonderland theme and I really think this will help alot.

Oh, I was just looking through the BH&G Halloween issue again and realized that the meringue mushrooms were in the Mad Tea Party article there. That's what I get for looking through too many books/magazines in one day! Regardless, I thought the book had some cool stuff (plus some less party/more crafty items).

I was just going to post about the magazine - got mine last weekend. I liked the simple ideas like just making things crooked and a little off kilter. I also liked the decorated teapots - easy to pick up at the flea market or garage sales.

Oh that looks neat! My daughter is obsessed with Tim Burton's Wonderland movie. She made me watch it 3 times in a row on Saturday! LOL and 2 times more on Sunday!

We had a wonderland theme last year, it turned out really cool! We had LOTS of checkerboard. I still have to check out the books cause, even though it doesn't fit this years theme, I still love Alice....
