I've been using Evite for years now for my invites, but their new Beta is nearly useless. To make things worse, when you select a "public" url, it ends up on Google with all of your contact info!

Does anyone have a recommendation for another service? I haven't tried Punchbowl or Pingg yet, but I need something that I can just send people a link to (since it's going to a listserv) that they can RSVP on.

    Any ideas?

You can use your google calender if everyone has a google address. There is a way to set it as private to your list only. You can also use Facebook if everyone is on there.

I recall getting an email from Oriental Trading about a new party planning service - which includes eletronic invitations.

    Here's the link:

    mommyto3: That is perfect!!
I can't believe I didn't notice that OTC was doing this now. I guess I must have been too absorbed in the toys lol. They even have a public url and their invites are *beautiful*.
    Thank you!!

I have used Pingg.com and really like it so far. Sent out my Save The Dates via Pingg this year- worked well. You can pay $10 an upgrade to an ad-free version.

I messed around with eVite last night, after having barely been able to use it last year, and quickly got pissed off and ended up going elsewhere. eVite is a REALLY bad site design.

I went to Anyvite, made an account and got up and running with a custom design real quickly. It seems to have all the features that eVite had, and I launched my 75 invites today and already have some responses. It lets me upload pics and videos (haven't tried that yet but will) and keeps track of RSVPs. Easy to send updates and add new guests.

I won't go back to eVite...

2geekygirl - You're welcome! The only reason I realized it existed is because I got an email specifically about the new service.

JH - I'll have to check out Anyvite as well!! I agree, Evite, is just not cutting it anymore!
