Thread: What to Name our 'Theme'

We are doing Time Travel, so costumes could be 50's, 20's, Renascence, cavemen, Futuristic, Etc.

Not sure what to title the theme..... Back to the Future, Time Warp (A few years ago when we did Hollywood we did the Time Warp dance), I feel that there is Something better out there??

dr who's travels?
(along those same lines) 'into the blue box'

I am partial to "Mr. Peabody's Wayback Machine"

Museum of Time? (this could be a fun theme... have displays around the house with museum type descriptions on them, etc.)

I always liked the movie "Time Bandits" (yes, I'm really dating myself now)....

But, I was looking up time travel on Wikipedia and they had a reference to time travel tourism. Sounded like an interesting twist on time travel - you could be a travel agency for people wanting to vacation in different time periods. Could add a new set of elements to your party...?? Just an idea....You could issue boarding passes and other ideas tying it in....maybe Eternal Tourism or Tempus Fugit Tourism (time flies)...?

Oh, if you did it as a tourist-y thing, you could issue time traveling passports as the invites.

Exactly!! "Please choose your timely destination and dress appropriately so you can properly blend in with the residents..." tee hee

Your party could be the "boarding (or holding) area" while they're waiting to travel...

You could use labels for drink tags with their name and destination (and drink if you wanted).....

I do like the Mr Peabody's (was it WABAC?) machine, however they only went back in time right? I 'think' I want to leave it open for Future travel.

I think the time travel tours idea is fantastic. You could have a tape playing in the background with a very flight attendant voice saying things about how they aren't able to change events, look for themselves, other warning etc. If you are having different rooms that party go-ers can enter, you could have signs saying what each time period would be ---
