Thread: End of the World Theme

Well it is time to start planning my Halloween party, I figure I gave myself 2 months when I was in an apartment, 3.5 months should be enough for the house I just bought!

I am planning on doing End of the World themed rooms, I plan to use my family room, kitchen, dining, living room, guest bedroom, guest bathroom and my bedroom for each theme, so 7. (Don't think I should do anything in the pet bedroom since I don't want to disturb them, and the master bathroom is much to small, though I suppose it could be an extension on the master bedroom)

Plague/Virus Room
-Broken Medical Equipment
-Dead "bodies" (Pillows stuffed into black bags human shaped)

Zombie Room
-Bloody Walls
-Entrails
-Body Parts

Natural Disaster Room
-Make it look like an Earthquake/Hurricane/Volcano just happened

Mad Max Room
-Thunderdome like decor

28 Days Later Room

Food
-Somehow making it look like canned food while still being really tasty, maybe cleaning out my used cans for the next few months, and then filling them with the dishes I make?

Games
-Zombie Tag
-Survial Games

Any other ideas?

Get some colored party bulbs and have low light, maybe a small fog machine in some area like it is a green fog or left over vapors from the big meteor crash

That could definitely be interesting, I do want to get a fog machine (and dry ice to help keep it low lying) and a strobe light, since those were big hits at last years party (unfortunately in the move I had to throw them out, happens when you move across the country, lots of stuff gets tossed.)

Sorry I don't have any ideas right now, but I will be following you as I am doing that theme for 2012 - All I keep hearing in my head is REM - It's the End Of The World As We Know It
