First and formost, THANK YOU for serving our country! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers! Also congrats on the wedding. A halloween wedding seem's like it would be worth it to get married...jk. A classical haunted gothic wedding would be really nice. Dark colors like black and red look elegant and spooky. So many options for center pieces that can be done for super cheap.
I work and set alot of weddings, so If we have any awesome ones I'll snap some pictures so you can get a better idea for things.halloween is a super cool holiday.

I saw once on tv this couple did a zombie themed wedding. It was required of all the guests to dress as zombies and they all met at a location close to where the ceremony was going to take place and they all did a huge zombie walk to the ceremony. It was pretty cool haha
And at the reception they had a cake shaped like a person. Was kinda cool lol. You could always do a brain cake also. That'd be funny haha
Save a Gravedigger the trouble....BE A ZOMBIE!

Checkout my blog at www.lovemanor.com/blog and use the search bar and type in "wedding", I believe I did a post or two with some photos.
Sounds great!

JMO but I would stick to the haunted elegant (it is a wedding after all) and stay away from the blood and guts. I think vampires are overdone but you can still do undead without having to do vampire or half decayed zombie. I'm all for the victorian gothic/neo-gothic idea. COngraTs!

Congrats! We've done the Halloween wedding thing twice actually. The first time was for our wedding in 1999 and the second was a vow renewal ceremony in 2009 for our 10th anniversary.
The 1999 one was more of a small party than a wedding...Halloween was on a Sunday that year and I had just started my first year of law school in another city 9 hrs away. What we ended up doing was traveling back every weekend but one that month to do all the decorating. Then for the wedding itself we had a Halloween party the Saturday night which was like the reception then after midnight the JP arrived and we changed from our costumes into our wedding clothes for the ceremony. It was just a small thing at home with about 20 close friends and family members.
For 2009 we went with a zombie theme for the renewal ceremony. We go to the Spooky Empire weekend in Orlando every year and have come to be friends with the promoter. We decided to have it at his show and it was quite the blast. What was really neat is my best man was Bill Hinzman from the original Night of the Living Dead in his zombie costume.
These celebrations can be as extravagant or as cheesy as you want...the bottom line is it's up to your own tastes what you want to do. Just keep it fun and enjoy your big day!Facebook - please feel free to add me: HERE

A friend of mine did a steampunk wedding. The photos and the cake looked amazing. Not only did the bridal party arrive in costume, many of the attendees did too.
