If you live in the country and some woods on your property, a twisted fairy tale theme would be very cool. Hansel and Gretel. Red Riding Hood. Alice in Wonderland. The Frog Prince. All these could be twisted and set in a wooded scene.
“Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, because the ground gives way under him, and the dream begins.”

Oh, twisted fairytales are fun! You are going to have a blast.
Are you going to try and hit on as many as you can? There is so much to go with. A lot of the fairy tales have a wolf in them. If you want a common thread running through your theme you could stick with those particular ones.
Can't wait to see what you do with this!

Do a 'search' on Fairy tales, Scary Tales, etc. there is a TON of info on this site! Did that theme in 2009, Loved it! Have Fun!

Walk through Wonderland would be neat, throw in some Grimms Fairy tales in the mix like I'm doing but I dont have a whole lot of land.

I like the twisted fairy tales idea, but if I could go back in time and do a senior year Halloween party for my son, I think I would do something with a "Graduation Day" type theme. Make up a fake "local legend", something about a killer who stalked seniors all year long and picked off a few on Graduation day. (but only the ones that failed to keep up a B average)
Good luck with your party plans!

A twisted fairy tale theme is an awesome idea! So the party will be outdoors? Old lamps, homemade lanterns, and stained tablecloth can add a spooky feel to your scary fairy tale theme. I'm trying to imagine your party and I think it would be really fun!

Thats an awesome idea!! That will help with lighting and such. I want to create a "mad" house out of Alice and wonderland in out barn. Basically that they have all gone mad haha were sent to the asylum idk would that be a good idea??

That isn't a good idea. It's a GREAT idea! I haven't thought of that before. Maybe because the characters are already a little bit twisted and weird in some way. But how could the Mad Hatter become any "madder"?
... Creepy dolls with the characters' costumes scattered all around the room would creep the living daylights out of me.
