I've been looking for a past thread that I can't seem to find. One of our members has a haunted swamp theme complete with a swamp and dock in their yard. Does anyone remember this? What I'm wondering is how the swamp (complete w/ water) and dock where made. I'm thinking about doing this for a zombie plantation get together this summer. Guests could either come dressed as a zombie or a zombie hunter and I thought the swamp would be perfect! Still just an idea, but if anyone can point me in the right direction it'd be much appreciated!

    Need Help w/Driveway Bayou

If you do this, make sure everything is braced and reinforced - water is VERY heavy in large amounts.

Yes!!! Thank you! If we end up doing this I think it would be on a smaller scale. But I love the idea of this. Especially for a zombie plantation theme.

We're also thinking of doing a kind of walking dead theme. The reason we're thinking of doing this during the summer is for the past two Halloween parties we've thrown everyone literally parked themselves infront of the tv to watch the Phillies in the world series. I'm not putting that much time and effort...yet alone money into a party where everyone sits infront of the tv watching a freakin baseball game. =P So we thought this might be a nice alternative. Plus in Oct. we could do all of the stuff that we miss out on every year because we're trying to spend on our party and what not. We;ll see. It's in the thoughts process now.

I know how you feel about that! Same thing happened to me last year. How annoying!! Making the TV "out of order" would be right up my alley.

Hi there! My husband and I built the driveway bayou last year. I know I have been promising a tutorial for quite some time now but I am trying to get it all together and posted as soon as possible for those who are interested in the idea for this year.

I'm glad you liked it. It definitely was a hit at our party as well as for all the TOTers (mostly their parents) and is still the talk of our group! We are trying to figure out how to top it this year.
